Living in an urban, Mediterranean-style climate, sometimes the seasons just seem to pass by without many physical changes. Really, living here, the best indicator of a change in seasons is when you start to use the defroster instead of the AC on your car.

Even now, over halfway through October, it gets up to 80 degrees in the afternoons. Now that we finally finished repainting the house, every day I crave for rain, for fog, for bloodred leaves.

Fall is always my favorite time of year...

Summer time..

Been bumming around a lot recently. Reading, staying up ridiculously late, eating too much ice cream, making attempts at "art"..

So, expect some long-awaited activity soon. Since I'm having difficulty getting a job, I've been drawing a lot to keep myself busy and un-crazy.

We've been getting our roof pitched, so I've been waking up really freaking early to jackhammers, nail guns, and construction workers loudly comparing their hangovers. Only a few more weeks, though.

I always get kind of anxious in the summer..I miss the rain and fog. I can't wait for the days to go by, for the trees to turn flame-colored and dormant, to use the defroster instead of the AC in my car. My coat stares at me balefully...
